MAD NICE COFFEE ARRIVES AT SOMERSET COLLECTION
MAD NICE COFFEE ARRIVES AT
SOMERSET COLLECTION
Heirloom Hospitality debuts at Somerset Collection with the launch of Mad Nice Coffee.

(TROY, MI – October 14, 2025) Locally roasted coffee, hand-rolled sourdough bagel sandwiches, matcha, and other offerings are coming soon to Somerset Collection. Mad Nice Coffee, the first experientially convenient concept from Heirloom Hospitality, will open its doors at 9AM on Monday, November 3rd, while unveiling its new rewards program, Stupid Good Rewards, and its online ordering experience. Mad Nice Coffee located on the south side of Somerset Collection, at the second level just beyond the skywalk. Its doors will open daily to service your morning and late afternoon caffeine desires, accompanied by savory bagel goodness and sweet delights, Monday through Saturday from 9AM – 8:30PM and Sundays from 11AM – 6:30PM. Developed in collaboration with Mad Nice’s own Executive Chef Partner, Myles McVay, countless open-faced bagel sandos focus on simple ingredients “patience, time, well-sourced product, and the skill of our talented team”. Savory options include creations like the Bubbe with scratch-made cream cheese, lox, heirloom tomato, pickled onions, cucumber, fresh herbs and lemon zest, and the G.O.A.T. with whipped goat cheese, smashed avocado, house candied pepita seeds and local Michigan honey. Sweetness exudes from the Hazy made with fresh hazelnut spread, dark chocolate shavings and sea salt. Not to be forgotten, there will be a remarkable selection of freshly baked pastries and sweets to add a smile to anyone’s day. “These bagels are 1 of 1. Naturally leavened, fermented sourdough that are finished in our woodfired ovens. This makes them have an amazing texture and vast range of boldness and depth of flavor. Making various combinations with these dynamic tasting bagels as a vessel or canvas is really unlimited. It’s exciting, and a golden way to showcase our talented team. We do it everyday, we know it’s good, and bringing it to a bigger audience is a great opportunity”, shares Executive Chef Partner, Myles McVay.
Rounding out Mad Nice Coffee’s new menu is the locally roasted speciality coffee program. Metro Detroiters can look forward to beloved fan faves from the Toasted Pistachio Latte, or Coconut Whipped Espresso, to the Mad Nice “White Cap”. On the lighter side: cold-tapped Nitro Matcha on draft, plus a rotating selection of hot and iced teas from Smith Teamaker.
The grab-and-go section will spotlight fresh bottled matcha, house-made cold brew, seasonal juices, chef-crafted salads, soups and other prepared culinary gems. Be on the lookout for the Egg Sando—served on house-made milk bread with egg custard katsu and cheddar—a sure hit with early risers. “I’m super excited to bring the Mad Nice brand to Oakland County. This is an entirely unique opportunity for us to represent what we have been carefully crafting since our inception. Everything at Mad Nice is rooted in sours and flours. With these simple ingredients we are able to create a multitude of possibilities with our new location at Somerset Collection.” Chef Myles shares. Stupid Good Rewards is the loyalty program powering the Mad Nice Coffee app (iOS and Android). It’s designed to make your life easier—place orders ahead, choose local delivery, or grab-and-go while shopping. Members earn 1 point per dollar spent, with double points during Mad Mornings (the first hour of each day) and Mad Nights (the final hour of each day). Members also enjoy house-curated treats on their birthday and more. Heirloom Hospitality plans to roll out the Stupid Good Rewards program at the first Mad Nice Coffee in Midtown Detroit in the near future. Sign up now to become a Founding Member before doors open.
