The Coney Brings Detroit Stars Home for Youth Arts
The Coney Brings Detroit Stars Home for Youth Arts
A new signature event is coming to Detroit this fall. The Coney, an inaugural comedy festival and variety show benefiting youth arts programs, will take place September 26 at the Detroit Opera House.
Created by actor and comedian Marc Evan Jackson in partnership with Andrew Stein, President & CEO of The Children’s Foundation of Michigan, the event will bring together Detroit-connected celebrities for an evening of comedy, music, and fundraising in support of youth arts organizations throughout the city. Confirmed participants include Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Tim Meadows, Sam Richardson, J.K. Simmons, Diona Reasonover, and Marc Evan Jackson, with additional celebrity appearances expected to be announced in the coming months. Proceeds from the event will support Detroit youth arts organizations and help establish a permanent Endowed Fund for Youth Arts.
Somerset Collection and The Detroit Shoppe are proud sponsors of this inaugural event, alongside a number of organizations and community partners helping make it possible.
